Founded by Sadhguru Vasudev, in 1992, Isha yoga center is an international nonprofit organization, dedicated to cultivate human potential that is entirely run by numerous volunteers. The aim of this foundation is to empower each and every person through inspiration. This yoga center distills powerful ancient yoga methods for modern person to improve their physical, mental as well as emotional conditions.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is a prominent spiritual leader and a visionary humanitarian in India, who works relentlessly towards spiritual, mental as well as physical well being of all. He believes that his life is an endeavor to help people and express their divinity.

This foundation organizes various programs for the welfare of human beings on the basis of total well being that accelerates spiritual as well as physical growth. The uniqueness of this organization is that it offers four major paths of yoga- Karma(action), gnana( knowledge), bhakti(devotion), kriya(energy).

 There are overall 25 centers that are run by the foundation and the centers that are located in the cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Goa, Vishakhapatnam, Ahmedabad,  Mysore, Bangaluru, etc. Apart from these, some centers of the foundation are located in the countries like UK, USA, Canada, Holland, Germany, Singapore, etc.

This foundation basically works on three main projects:

•Action for Rural Rejuvenation, a program to help rural people by offering them medical care, community rehabilitation, human upliftment etc.

•Project Green Hands, an effort to increase awareness among public reforestation that aims to plant 114 million trees, restore 33%green cover in Tamil Nadu, India.

•Isha Vidhya is a pioneering English medium program that aims to establish 206 new computer-based educations by 214.
