Based on the ideologies of Sri Ramakrishna, Rama Krishna Ashram is established to provide help to people from stress and tension from their day-to-day life. Located at Belur in Howrah district of West Bengal, this ashram is a tribute to multifaceted divine personality of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

The Ramakrishna Ashram, Belur, West Bengal was formed in the year 1897 by Vivekananda.  He found this ashram as the non-preaching religious organization that has two wings the Ramakrishna mission and the Ramakrishna Math. Both organization works on the philosophy of Ramakrishna Paramhansa "seek God in Man".

Currently in India there are more than 105 centers of the Ramakrishna Movement. Beside this in abroad this ashram has centers in Argentina, France, Canada, Mauritius, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Japan, Mauritius, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Fiji, etc.
