Overview:

Dona Sylvia Resort is 40 kilometres away from the airport and 15 kilometres away from the Margao railway station. The Cavelossim beach is within walking distance from the hotel. A shopping centre, liquor shops and currency exchange facilities are also within walking distance from the hotel.

Dona Sylvia Beach Resort is spread over 26 acres of landscaped gardens along the beautiful Cavelossim beach in South Goa. The open space and clear blue sky creates a village colony like environment. It's like living in a world of your own. With all facilities intact within the periphery of the property, guests can relax abundantly without venturing out. The entrance links up with the reception and the open lobby, which is next to the swimming pool. The lobby is big and has long sofas interspersed all over so that it gives a comfortable look to the entire place. The swimming pool is adjacent to the lobby and the bright sky shines in the crystal water.

Facilities and Services
Mobor is the conference hall that can accommodate 70 people with ease. The Activity Centre is located above the reception area and is open from all sides with a traditional thatched roof and has billiards, chess, carom and an air hockey table as indoor activities; outdoor activities include volleyball and basket. There are bicycles available too, for guests to venture out and explore the place. Besides these, a full fledged Ayurvedic massage centre and aroma massage and acupressure centre are fully operational here. A fully equipped gymnasium is another added feature of the hotel.

Room Amenities
The cottages begin from the boundaries of the pool, some of them opening directly in to the pool area, while the rest are distributed and connected with meandering stone pathways with flower beds and carpet grass on either side. All cottages are done in a Mediterranean villa style and provide strict privacy to the guests. The hotel has Deluxe and Superior rooms and Suites divided between the villas.

The Superior room is compact with standard facilities like a television, table and chair, fridge, telephone, cupboard and room service (extra charge). The bathroom is small with a shower cubicle and basic amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and towels. The Deluxe room is a little bigger in size and has the same facilities. It has a full size mirror with a separate baggage area as well. The bathroom has a tub with the same facilities as in the Superior room. The Suites are set in a two room apartment style with a separate drawing room and bedroom. The decor is contemporary with big windows for the light to come in. Facilities include an electronic safe, television, comfortable sofas, phone connection and refrigerator/mini bar. The bathroom is big too, with a tub and bathroom amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, towels, shaving kit, sewing kit etc. All rooms can avail room service and laundry service facilities, which will be incurred at an additional cost. The hotel has a Wi-Fi connection all over for guests to use their laptops.

Dining
Food is the essence of living and Dona Sylvia Resort believes just that and has five options of dining and wining! The Sea Gull buffet restaurant is just next to the pool and is a quiet place with a capacity of 175 people serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Next to it is the Kebab and Curries Tandoori restaurant serving, as the name suggests, interesting kebabs and other tandoori/Afghani food. The pool also has the Tia Maria pool bar that serves all kinds of domestic and international liquor. The best part about the pool bar is that it has ample sitting space as well. The hotel also has an outdoor restaurant, Hay Stack where all theme parties/dinners are held. It has an open theatre as well, where all stage performances are done. Then there is Amalia, the lobby bar, which provides an exclusive platform for lounging and drinking. The decor is different from the rest of the hotel; it has contemporary paintings on the wall depicting dining, wining, music, fun and frolic, in other words, the Goan way of life.
