This is former summer capital of Patiala located 43-Km from Shimla. Chail is hiker's paradise and is very peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of Shimla. Main Attractions of Chail

Chail Sanctuary : Here you will find Deodar and Oak forests. This sanctuary was notified on 21st March 1976 in Shimla district covering an area of 10,854.36 hectares.

Cricket Ground : This is one of the highest cricket ground in the world. Built in 1893, this cricket pitch located at the height of 2,144m is also used as polo ground.

Maharaja's Palace : This palace built in 1891 surrounded with comfortable log huts, cottages, dense forests, serene, sprawling, children park, a lovers hill and sports facilities.

Sidh Baba Ka Mandir : This temple was made by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh it is believed that a sidh, a saintly person appeared in the Maharaja's dream so he dropped his idea and made temple instead of palace.
