Overview:

A narrow lane with high walls, much like the way to some ancient fort, hotel Colonia Santa Maria is a white pristine structure, which immediately catches a pleasant attention. Once inside, the white garb unveils itself to a multi-coloured hue splashed all over the walls. This is the reception with psychedelic paintings on the walls. Adjacent to the reception is an open restaurant with the concept of a shack but nothing like it.

Colonia Santa Maria is located at Cobra Wado near Baga in north Goa. The airport is 45 kilometres away, Panjim is 25 kilometres away and Thivim railway station is 20 kilometres away from the hotel.

Hotel Facilities
There is a huge Conference Hall that can hold as much as 480 people and is ideal for large social gatherings and meetings. The business centre takes care of all the official needs of the guests. There is also an open high ground/lawn in the shape of a mould with lounge chairs and umbrellas and a special bar to make moments special.

This is the place where live music and bar-be-que nights make way during season time. This place also overlooks the sea and a football field, which serves as a venue for local matches sometimes. There is a swimming pool with a separate kid's pool out in the open complimented with lounge chairs around it, with the lodging cottages in the background.

In addition, guests can access internet at the internet parlour located next to the reception area. Other facilities at the hotel include a massage centre, doctor on call, laundry and housekeeping, travel desk, and library. Guests can also enjoy facilities like babysitting, disabled services, outdoor activities, bicycles on hire, transfers, guide services and sightseeing on request.

Room Amenities
The cottages further extend towards the beach, with manicured lawns and fences to give it a warm cozy look. The un-stoned pathway in between the cottages leads to the Calangute-Baga beach. There are 23 cottages in all here covering 100 suites. Each cottage has 6 air conditioned rooms with a separate drawing room with a mini bar and snacks bar and a comfortable sofa set.

In an enclosed area between the bedroom and the living room, is a dressing table counter and cupboards and beyond that, a very airy and spacious bedroom with an enclosed balcony.

The rooms are also equipped with an air conditioner, direct dial telephone, intercom, electronic safe and furnished with a luggage rack, coffee table and sofa unit. The bathroom is simple with a shower cubicle and bathroom amenities like shampoo, shower gel, soap, lotion, towels etc. One interesting feature of this place is that the suites have been designed to sell to public as well.

Dining
Balcao restaurant at Colonia Santa Maria is a uniquely modern place with a seating capacity of 50 people with a huge television in a corner for entertainment and open walls to let the balmy breeze play with you while you have your meal.

You can enjoy Indian, Chinese, Goan and Continental cuisines here. There is a coffee shop and bar as well. Room service is available between 10:30 am and 10:30 pm.
