Main Attractions of Gangtok

Deer Park : This Park is famous for the animals like red panda and the Himalayan Bear. At park you will find a butter lamp that continuously burns in front of the statue surrounded with flowers of exotic variety. Along with this, park offers you fantastic view of the hills surrounding Gangtok.

Government Institute of Cottage Industries : This institute was established with purpose of promoting the local handicrafts like bamboo-craft, shades, lamp-stands, hand-painted masks, bamboo-craft, flashing silks.

Kangchendzonga National Park : Visitors come here regularly to see green dense forest, snow falling and mountain with dark green pines.

Kechopari Lake : This is at bifurcation road between Yoksum and Gyalsing surrounded with dense forests and wild life. Kechopari lake has clear water which means wishing lake. Here you will find placid, crystal clear water because birds here immediately lift it.

Pemayangtse Monastery : This is at Gyalsing town originally built as a small temple built in the last of 17th century by Latsun Chempo which later on rebuilt into monastery.
