Kudremukh, Karnataka
Kudremukh This beautiful hill station is located near Chikmagalur, Karnataka (India) situated at an altitude of 1,894.3 m above sea level. This place attracts tourists from all over the world because it is away from the stressful city life as this place is occupied with lush green forests, mountains for trekking, grassy slopes, rivers, captivating cascades. Apart from this Kudremukh is rich in iron ore deposits.

Main Attractions of Kudremukh

Gangamoola : Popularly known as Varaha Parvatha. This is the source of three rivers Bhadra, Tunga and Netravathi that originates from Western Ghats. Due to its distinction it become part of UNESCO designated World Heritage site.

Hanuman Gundi Waterfalls : Here the waterfalls slashing down from a height of more than 100 feet on a natural rock majestically. Tourists can here enjoy trekking as well as take a rejuvenating bath in the waterfall.

Horanadu : This is a holy city laid in the middle of charming natural scenarios. Here you will find beautiful temples like Annapoomeshwari and Adi-Shaktyatmaka in Horanadu. To pay homage to the deities of this temple many pilgrims visit this place throughout the year.

Kalasa : This is abode of the Kalaseshwara temple of Lord Shiva on the bank of river Bhadra. According to myth it is believed that the origin of Kalasa is related to the wedding ceremony of Shiva and Parvathy. It is believed that visiting Kalasa brings punya. Regarding all this here held a festival "Girija Kalyana" that attracts tourists.
