Nandi Hills This hill station is situated 1,478 meter above sea level and is 65 km from Bangalore. This hill station derived its name from the ancient Nandi or bull which is meant to be the mount of Lord Shiva. Later on ruler Tipu Sultan make this hill station as a summer retreat but after some time it was patronized by the British This hill is source of the rivers Arkavati, Palar, Pennar and rolling green slopes surround the Amrit Sarovar Lake, all this make this place a popular weekend destination.

Main Attractions of Nandi Hills

Bangalore Palace : This palace was built in 1887 AD by Chamaraja Wodeyar in Tudor Style inspired by the Windsor Castle.

Bheemeshwari Wildlife Sanctuary : this is an ideal place not only for wildlife but also for people on a holiday spree.

Bull Temple : This temple is situated in Bangalore the 4. 57 m high and 6.10m long image of Nandi, Lord Shiva's bull.
