Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar This is the capital of state Jammu-Kashmir located at an attitude of 1,730m above the sea level crisscrossed by the river Jhelum passes. Srinagar is the summer capital of the state Jammu-Kashmir This city is famous for houseboats, canals and Mughal gardens. It is also famous for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dry fruits.

Main Attractions of Srinagar

Aru : Here you will feel the beauty of nature like the cool environment, the chirrup of birds, the sapphire colored sky, the gentle swish of the breeze etc.

Dal Lake : This is an important tourist attraction of Srinagar located on the eastern end of the city. At this Dal Lake you will find series of lake where you can enjoy ride on traditional Kashmiri boats.

Gulmarg Biosphere Reserves : this reserve area is located at a distance of 48-km from Srinagar, to the south west famous for retaining endangered several rare species such as the Musk deer and Avi fauna.

Hari Parbat Fort : This fort is of 18th century constructed by Atta Mohammed Khan from 1776 whose surrounding wall was built during1592 to 1598. During the rule of Akbar.

Hazratbal Mosque : This is one of the most important shrines of Kashmir situated on the bank of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar. The mosque is built in the love and respect for the Prophet.

Khir Bhawani Temple : This is an important Hindu Shrine associated with hindu goddess Ragnya Devi. Here an annual festival held on Jeshth Ashtami (May- June).

Kokernag Springs : This is great Mughal historian sweet water famous for having extra ordinary healing powers.
