Manali - Valley of the Gods

Manali of the Kullu-Manali fame is an amazing tourist destination located in the lap of the charming Kullu Valley. It is an ancient town and surrounded with towering peaks. The hill station’s key asset is its extreme nearness to the snowline. Rohtang Pass: Picturesquely located at a height of 3979 mts, (13,050 ft) above the sea level, this wonderful tourist place is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road. The vistas of the mountains are truly mind blowing. Next to it is a lake known as Dassaur Lake. The famous Beas Kund is close by.

Hidimba Devi Temple: This unique temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi of the Mahabharta fame is an ancient cave temple bounded by thick and verdant cedar forest. Interestingly, the deity image in this shrine is that of a large rock which was built sometime during 1553.

Ghatoth Kach Temple: Closely located From Hadimba Devi this temple is dedicated To the courageous son Of Bhima and Hadimba .

Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple: Vashist is the name of a village with natural sulphur springs located only 3 kms from Manali. Spread across the Beas River, this lovely tourist place boasts of modern bathhouses and Turkish-style showers. Visitors throng this place for medicinal benefits. A pair of old stone temples, dedicated to the local patron saint Vashista, is also located at the site.

Solang Valley: Much famous for scenic beauty and shhotinh spot of Bollywood films, Solang Valley is situated only 13 km northwest of Manali. The USP of this appealing place is its 300-meter ski lift.

Rahala waterfalls: These beautiful waterfalls are situated at a height of 2,501 mts, at a distance of 16 km from Manali.

Monasteries: Manali has several charming monasteries which must be covered while on a tour to this place.
